Privacy Policy

Ebbio / Version 1.0 / Last updated: July 14, 2026

Ebbio (the “App”) is a review-management app for long-term memory. This Privacy Policy explains how information is handled when you use the App.

1. Operator

The App is operated by Cyver Labs, an individual sole proprietor (not a corporation).

2. Information the App handles

2.1 Information stored on your device

The App stores the Items, Collections, tags, review history, study settings, notification settings, streaks, theme settings, and tutorial progress that you create or configure, primarily on your device. Free-form fields may contain personal or sensitive information that you choose to enter. In normal use, the App does not send this learning data to our servers.

Depending on the storage option you select, data is kept in browser or in-app local storage, in a file on your device, or in a backup file that you export.

2.2 Encryption

If you choose an encryption option, the App encrypts data held on your device or at a location you select using the Web Crypto API. The current implementation uses PBKDF2-SHA256 with 600,000 iterations for key derivation and AES-256-GCM for encryption.

Encryption is intended to reduce risks such as someone reading a lost file. It does not guarantee security in every circumstance. If you forget your password, encrypted data may not be recoverable.

2.3 Backups and sharing

When you expressly export, save to a file, or share data, the App sends it to the on-device location or operating-system sharing feature that you select. The handling of data by a destination service or recipient is your responsibility.

2.4 Notifications

If you grant notification permission and configure reminders, the App schedules local notifications on your device. It does not send learning data to our servers in order to send these reminders.

2.5 Purchases

The App may offer a one-time in-app purchase, the “Ebbio lifetime license”. Apple, Google, or another applicable store operator processes payment information, such as card details; we do not receive it.

Where purchase features are enabled in the native App, we may use RevenueCat, Inc. (“RevenueCat”) to process purchases, verify and restore entitlements, and prevent fraud. RevenueCat and the applicable store operator may process technical and transaction information, including device type, operating system, app version, an anonymous app-user identifier, purchase status, and a store receipt or purchase token. Learning Items, review history, Collections, tags, and encryption passwords are not sent to RevenueCat.

Please also review RevenueCat’s Privacy Policy.

3. Purposes of use

The App handles the information above only to:

4. Advertising, tracking, and analytics

The App does not display advertising. We do not use learning data for targeted advertising or sell or provide it to third parties for advertising purposes.

The App does not include our own behavioural analytics SDK or advertising-tracking SDK for normal use. RevenueCat and store operators may handle technical and transaction information when purchases are enabled, as described in Section 2.5.

5. Third-party disclosures and international transfers

We do not disclose learning data to third parties, except where you choose a sharing or backup destination, where required by law, or where RevenueCat and a store operator handle information necessary to provide purchase features.

Information handled by RevenueCat or store operators in connection with purchases may be processed or stored outside your country, including in the United States.

6. Retention and deletion

Learning data remains on your device until you use the App’s deletion controls, clear app data, or delete the App. You are responsible for managing and deleting exported files and data shared with external services.

Store operators and RevenueCat may retain purchase information in accordance with their own policies for purchase verification and restoration. Refer to their policies and support channels for requests about that information.

7. Your choices

You can disable notifications in settings. You can delete on-device learning data using the App’s deletion controls, your device settings, or by removing the App. Encryption, file saving, backup, and sharing are optional features that you control.

8. Ebbio Trial and disclaimers

Feature limits in Ebbio Trial, the one-time lifetime-license purchase, refunds, conditions of service, warranty limitations, and limitations of liability are governed by the separate Terms of Use. This Policy describes information handling only; it does not guarantee learning outcomes, data integrity, the operation of devices, operating systems, or third-party services, or absolute security from encryption.

9. Children

If you are a minor, please use the App with the consent of a parent or legal guardian where required.

10. Changes to this Policy

We may update this Policy when laws, features, or information-handling practices change. For material changes, we will provide notice in the App or on this page and, where appropriate, ask you to accept the updated policy. The updated Policy applies when posted or on any later effective date that we specify.
